Sick, Stuck, Love

Writer's picture: Charisse ParkerCharisse Parker

Plenty of fellows

I loved long before

That cool August night

You opened the door

Never could have

Even began to imagine

The tsunami type

Whirlwind that was to happen

Never enjoyed talking

As much to you and vice versa

Eventually learning the same lips

That love can also curse ya

Blessing turned curse

Never blessing at all

Realizing your eyes

We’re actually my downfall

Seconds, minutes, hours

Days, months turned to years

Mathematically calculating

Fewer glad times, more tears

Break up to make up

Yet making up wasn’t your plan

Riding an emotional roller coaster

Ending where we began

Hard times then harder times

Struggles and pain

Still what’s even sicker

I’d do it all again

Still even sicker

What will forever be true

Despite everything

I only want you

The seemingly perfect

Man could others find

To me there’s only one guy

Who is one of a kind

In too deep now

Transferred mind, body,soul

Sickly stuck to you forever

Permanent love hold
